Xiaomi Mi Note 3 Launched in China With Dual-Camera Setup, Facial Recognition And Snapdragon 660 at CNY 2,499

We have seen the Mi Note series from Xiaomi evolving up in the past years, the Mi Note series has been one of the most selling smartphones over the past years and today we got to see the latest generation Mi Mote device alongside the second version of the bezeless Mi Mix.The Mi Note 3 screams of a rear Dual-Camera Setup which allows for optical zoom similar to the ones we saw on the Mi6, a 5.5-inch full HD display, mid range flagship Snapdragon 660 and a glass metal design.

Mi Note 3: Design

Beginning with the design, the Mi Note 3 comes with a 4-sided curved glass body with a mirror like an effect like the ones, we saw on the HTU U11 or the U Ultra.The whole frame of the Mi Note 3 is made out of aluminum and it is also true that the smartphone is smaller than Apple’s current generation flagship, iPhone 7 Plus despite having a smaller display.

The Mi Note 3 speaks about a 5.5-inch display IPS LCD display with a maximum brightness of 550 Nits. The Mi Note 3 comes with a 14nm Octa-Core Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled up with 6 GB RAM and houses a 3,500 mAh battery.

The phone comes equipped with a Dual-Camera module as found on the flagship Mi6 and a lot of other phones nowadays.It sports 12-MegaPixel Dual-Rear Cameras with a 4 axis optical image stabilization.

We also get to see a wide angle lens and the other one is a telephoto one which allows for 2X optical zoom without loss in quality.The Selfie shooter is a 16-Mega Pixel camera with beauty modes and various other software baked features.

The Mi Note 3 comes with a special facial recognition feature that allows you to unlock the smartphone with a glance on the screen.They also claim that the face unlock is as fast as the fingerprint scanner and can be used in any weather condition with gloves.It also comes with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box based on MIUI 9.

Mi Note 3: Pricing and Availability

The Mi Note 3 starts selling at CNY 2,499 which translates to ( roughly Rs.25000 ) for the black color variant with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB Internal Storage and CNY 2,899 (roughly Rs. 28,300) for the 6 GB RAM and 128 GB inbuilt storage variant in Black.

There are other configurations also which are the shinier blue color variant coming at CNY 2,999 which translates to ( roughly Rs.29,400 ).

The phone will be hitting the shelves from tomorrow in China and there are no details on the Indian Launch and there is also a huge possibility of it not hitting the Indian shelves at all.
