The much awaited and widely rumored Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro were launched in Munich by the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Richard Yu. They unveiled the Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and MobileAI about which we will be discussing in this article.
The Huawei Mate 10 is priced at EUR 699 which roughly translates to Rs.53,400 and will go on sale(first wave) from November in certain countries namely Australia, China, Egypt, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, and the UAE.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is priced decently at EUR 799 which is when converted to Indian currency it comes down to Rs.61,000 and will be available in Australia, China, Egypt, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, and the UAE from November with some regions in Europe and Africa.
The special edition Porsche Design Huawei Mate 10 is priced at EUR 1395 which roughly translates to Rs.1,06,600 and will be getting launched in Australia, China, Egypt, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, and the UAE at the start.
Specifications Of Mate 10 and the Mate 10 Pro
The Huawei Mate 10 sports a 5.9-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) LCD display whereas the pricier and the bigger Mate 10 Pro offers a 6-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels) OLED Display. Both the displays are called the FullView Displays and are supposed to be improving on the media consumption experience.
The Huawei Mate 10 and the Huawei Mate 10 Pro are slightly smaller than their predecessors as the company has narrowed down the bezels quite a bit According to the CEO.On the event they compared the screen to body ratio with the iPhone X, they showed that the Mate 10 has a higher screen to body ratio than the iPhone X.
Both the Huawei Mate 10 and the Huawei Mate 10 Pro are powered by Huawei’s very own chip HiSilicon Kirin 970 which the company claims are the first chip to have support for neural network processor unit(NPU).The CEO said that its the most advanced chip and the entire implementation is named as Huawei MobileAI.The chip features four Cortex-A73 cores (clocked at 2.36GHz each) four Cortex-A53 cores (clocked at 1.8GHz each), and an i7 Co-Processor, apart from the Mali-G72 Mp12 GPU.
They have also done something similar to what Samsung had done with their flagship devices which they called as DEX. The only exception is that they have used a HDMI to USB connection rather than a huge dock itself.

The Huawei Mate 10 and the Huawei Mate 10 Pro houses a 4,000 mAh Battery which assures a full day of usage.The Huawei Mate 10 comes with 4 GB Of RAM and 64 GB of internal Storage while the other Huawei Mate 10 Pro comes in two variants: 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage and 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB Internal Storage.The Mate 10 has external expansion capabilities via a microSD Card up to 256 GB while the Mate 10 Pro loses out on this feature.
Dual-Cameras On Huawei Mate 10 And Mate 10 Pro
The Mate 10 Pro has Dual-Cameras to its back and two Selfie Shooters.The Rear one is a 20-Mega Pixel monochrome sensor and the other is a 12-Mega Pixel RGB sensor coupled up with OIS, BSI, CMOS, PDAF, CAF, Laser Autofocus and Depth Autofocus with a Dual LED flash. The front has a fixed 8-Mega Pixel focus shooter. The Mate 10 comes with the same set of cameras with both of the phones coming with fingerprint scanners on their backs.
The phones also have support for NFC and come with Android 8.0 Oreo-based on their very own Custom Skin EMUI 8.0.The phone is a Dual-SIM device and also has a headphone jack which the Mate 10 Pro skips on.

The company also announced the Porsche design Mate 10 which is basically a special variant of the Mate 10 with 6 GB RAM and with internal storage of 256 GB Storage Variant only.
