After months and months of leaks and rumours about the so called foldable phone, here we are. ZTE launched the Axon M yesterday which might be the first ever device with a foldable display. In my opinion foldable isn’t the best term to describe it since the display doesn’t actually fold, it’s the hinge that helps separate the two displays. What’s the use of two displays you ask? Well for starters it’s gonna be a fun ride to play games on it.
For years now Samsung has been trying to bring to us the foldable display and they also launched a prototype of what they were working on but there has been no news on that after the event. It came as a surprise that a company like ZTE would be the first to challenge the smartphone giants.
The Axon M is that company’s first Dual Display smartphone which sadly is separated by a hinge. ZTE has launched the Axon M has an AT&T exclusive in the US and will be available for sale starting next month.

Taking a look at the specifications, the Axon M features two 5.2-inch Dual Full HD TFT LCD Displays and yes with Corning Gorilla 5 protection. Talking about the cameras on the Dual display, surprisingly there’s just one camera at the rear with 20 – Mega Pixel sensor which can be used for both front and rear facing shots. The back camera comes with f/1.8 aperture.
The Axon M packs in 3,180mAh battery which in my opinion is very less, keeping in mind the Dual displays the battery won’t keep up. Axon M will come with Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box.

The smartphone comes with four modes inbuilt. These modes include, Dual Modes which allow the consumers to use two various apps in separate displays, it’s kind of the multi screen feature we get in the smartphones nowadays but the difference is the dual displays.
