Xiaomi has been all over the news for past few weeks since it’s budget-oriented smartphones launch. Xiaomi launched Redmi Y1 and Y1 Lite a few weeks ago, these devices are aimed towards the youth of today and they’ve expressed that by featuring a 16-MegaPixel front camera. If you’ve missed on that make sure to check our article on the Y1. Going back to today trending topic which will be none other than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, yes I know you’ve read tons of articles and leaks related to this before but this one looks legit. Now it’d be a shame for a company to not go by the trend, that’d be the 18:9 display, so-called Bezel-less design.
An image was leaked on a popular website named Weibo, the image claims to be of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and there’s no doubt in that. The image shows us that the Redmi Note 5 Will be rocking the MIUI 9 out of the box. Going by the specifications leaked beforehand we can assume that the Note 5 will include Snapdragon 625 SoC a 4000 mAh battery in it. There are rumours of the Note 5 coming with Android Oreo but we don’t think it’ll be coming out of the box with Oreo, upgrade? Yes, that’s for sure.
As far as the cameras are concerned, there won’t be a Dual-Camera Setup since this is a budget-oriented smartphone. The Note 5 will sport a 12-MegaPixel sensor at the rear and a 5-MegaPixel sensor to the front for crisp selfies.
Going by the leaks, the image shows us the front side of the smartphone which shows off the 5.9-inch display with full HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels with of course the 18:9 aspect ratio. Now since the device will be bezel-less the fingerprint sensor will be moved towards the rear, which in my opinion is the best option.
Other rumours claim that the handset will be launched in two different variants: 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM with 64 GB Storage. Of course, these leaks are to be taken with a pinch of salt since there has been no official announcement made by the company. The device is likely to pack in a Dual-SIM hybrid slot.
The specifications of the Redmi Note 5 was previously leaked to OppoMart and the Chinese resellers also put up some images of the same and I’ve to say they look pretty similar. The company launched the first model of the Note 5 series back in August, in China the Redmi Note 5A, the device was launched for roughly CNY 899, CNY 699. These are the amount of the 5A and they vary from variant to variant, we expect the Note 5 to be also priced at somewhat the same price range.
