Samsung is all set to unveil its flagships the Galaxy S9 and S9+ which are set to launch on February 25, ahead of MWC(Mobile World Congress) which is scheduled in Barcelona, Spain from February 26 to March 1.  But now the whole display and front looks of the phone have been leaked online. The Galaxy S9 is rumoured to look almost identical to the previous Galaxy S8. However, according to pictures by VentureBeat and reliable tipster Evan Blass, the design of the Galaxy S9 looks almost like LG’s ‘G’ series of smartphones but the bezels are reduced here.

Samsung Galaxy S9 And S9+ Details

According to report at VentureBeat, the design of the S9 will be similar to S8 just fewer bezels than before. The Galaxy S9 is said to have a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED infinity display whereas the bigger brother S9+ is said to have a 6.2-inch display. It is also rumoured that the phone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset in the US and China, and Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 chip to the rest of the world including India.

The S9 will be featuring 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage and the S9+ will be featuring 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Both the new phones will come with repositioned fingerprint scanner this time on the back beneath the camera. Talking about the camera, it is said that the biggest highlight of the s9 lineup would be the camera, Samsung is reportedly teasing its camera, stating “reimagined”.

This time the Galaxy S9 lineup is said to have a variable aperture on the primary 12-Mega Pixel Camera, allowing users to switch between f/2.4 and f/1.5 which will be a welcome come upgrade. The Galaxy S9 Camera may also have improved low-light focusing and improved portrait mode. Recently Samsung has also revealed the new ISOCELL camera sensors which help the camera for faster focus speeds and 3-Stack FRS( Faster readout sensor). Moving to the front, the both the S9 and S9 Plus will be having an 8-megapixel camera.

Venture Beats hasn’t supplied any pictures of the front of the device but some publications say that the fingerprint sensor will be vertically aligned with the camera. However, in some dummy units of the S9 and S9+, the fingerprint sensor is beneath the camera.

On the bottom, there will be another welcome change,  the inclusion of stereo speakers. Chinese certification authority 3C has confirmed the battery capacity of both the models, the Galaxy S9 with 3,000 mAh and Galaxy S9+ with 3,500 mAh battery capacity. Not only this but the Galaxy S9 and S9+ may also have improved fast charging speeds.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Pricing And Launch Details

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is expected to priced at $730 which is approximately Rs.50,000 but with the inclusion of Indian taxes the prices may go above Rs.60,000 and it will be interesting to see that whether the S9+ will reach the $1000 price bracket which is unlikely to happen. We will come to know about the pricing and other details at the event on February 25.
