This year OnePlus is planning to launch yet another flagship smartphone which is likely OnePlus 6, but till now there is no significant official news about the smartphone launch but it seems that OnePlus CEO Pete Lau discussed their next OnePlus series model at CES 2018 event. This news created a room for further discussions about the features and hardware configurations of upcoming OnePlus device, in an interview OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said that “we’re planning to unveil the next OnePlus model in latter part of Q2 2018 event, and he also added that it’ll feature Snapdragon 845 SoC processor, because “there is no better choice”.
However some sources claim that there aren’t significant changes featuring in next OnePlus 6 device compared to its successor OnePlus 5T, but some rumours claim that it’ll feature a built-in fingerprint sensor which we’ve been waiting to see in upcoming flagship smartphones.
Possibly the upcoming OnePlus 6 smartphone will have an advanced facial recognition system technology just like a Face ID feature in iPhone X smartphone. OnePlus introduced dual-lens camera sensors on its latest OnePlus 5 and 5T smartphones, so we can expect a better improvement in dual-lens camera with an additional camera capturing effects.
What Can We Expect In OnePlus 6 Smartphone?
OnePlus has been using Full HD display on their handsets to till date, but most of the popular flagship smartphones shifted to better Quad-HD display long ago. OnePlus is lagged behind with competitors in display configurations, so we’d like to see the Quad-HD+ display technology in next OnePlus 6 device.
Dedicated MicroSD Card Slot
Almost all the popular flagship smartphones are using Hybrid SIM slot in which we only have the option to use either Dual-SIM’s or one SIM with MicroSD card slot, so we want to see the dedicated microSD card slot in upcoming OnePlus 6 smartphone or else the in-built storage should be increased.
Water Resistant Body
The OnePlus 5 smartphone design and looks impressive but the only thing that lacks in OnePlus 5 device is it doesn’t have water-resistant body design. All the popular flagship smartphones focused on protection device from both water and dust particles, so we’d like to see the upcoming OnePlus 6 smartphone water and dust resistant.
OnePlus introduced Dash Charge technology in a 5T smartphone which allows you to get a full charge with just 30 min of plug-in time, but it doesn’t have bigger battery capacity which lacks OnePlus 5T battery performance compared to its competitors. So all we want from the upcoming OnePlus 6 smartphone is, it should have a larger battery that gives a long-lasting battery more than one day.
Even though most of us love the configurations and features of OnePlus mobiles, but we’ve been seeing drastic changes in pricing. The OnePlus 5T smartphone priced at $499, but we really want the price to be reduced because if the company keeps on increasing the price at every device launch they may get lose their beloved customers in future.
