LG is known for its innovative smartphones as they launch something innovative every year as the LG G5 which was a modular smartphone and the LG G6 which was the first smartphone to come with an 18:9 display. But this time LG seems to be silent as they just launched an iterative upgrade of LG V30 which is the LG V30S ThinQ and V30S+ ThinQ.
LG has unveiled their new smartphones the LG V30S ThinQ and the V30S+ ThinQ which are a successor to the last year’s LG V30. Both of them comes with a couple of extra features and that’s it nothing innovative. But the AI(Artificial Intelligencies) itself is a big feature.
LG V30S ThinQ Details
LG has launched the LG V30S ThinQ and LG V30S+ ThinQ focusing on AI(Artificial Intelligence) and so it is the major feature of the device. The company has Vision AI and Voice technology build in the V30S ThinQ. This Vision AI offers AI CAM, QLens and Bright Mode.
LG V30S ThinQ has a design similar to any other LG smartphone, in fact, the phone’s design is almost similar to its predecessor the LG V30S. The LG V30S ThinQ sports a 6-inch QuadHD+(1440×2880 pixels) OLED FullVision display with an 18:9 aspect ratio screen. The Fingerprint sensor is placed on the back of LG V30S below the camera.
Talking about the hardware, the LG V30S ThinQ and V30S+ ThinQ both are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with 6GB of RAM instead of 4GB just like it’ predecessor. The V30S ThinQ has 128GB of onboard storage and the V30S+ ThinQ is available in 256GB of internal storage. which is expandable via MicroSD card up to 2TB.
Both the models come with a dual camera setup which comprises a 16-megapixel image sensor with a 71-degree field of view and has an aperture of f/1.6 and a 13-megapixel secondary image sensor with a with a 120-degree field of view. On the front, the smartphone has a 5-megapixel front camera with a f/2.2 aperture.
The LG V30S ThinQ and V30S+ ThinQ will run Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box and top of that it will have LG’s own UX 6.0+ interface. The smartphone comes with the latest Bluetooth 5.0 for fast transfer speed and amazing range. The phone also has 4G LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 and even a USB Type-C 2.0. It also comes with a Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
The battery of the LG V30S ThinQ and V30S ThinQ is 3,300 mAh and the company claims that it will give a full day of battery life. The smartphone comes in two new color options the Moroccan Blue and the Platinium Gray. The company claims that the device is one of the thinnest and lightest among all the smartphones.
