Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro and the new Mi TV at an event tomorrow i.e February 14 in India. We can expect it to be a huge event as not only one, but 3 products are being launched at a single event. This will be the first time Xiaomi is revealing a TV in India.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is expected to come with a 5.99-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels Full HD+ and an aspect ratio of 18:9 coupled with 2.5D glass. The device is launching with on-screen buttons. Coming to it’s younger brother, the Redmi Note 5 it sports a 5.7-inch Full HD+ screen.

Battery and Chipset

The Redmi Note 5 Pro is powered by a non-removable 4,000 mAh battery. It is running on Snapdragon 636 SoC, making it the first device globally to have the Snapdragon 636 chipset with three variants: 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB Storage and the fully loaded 6GB RAM + 64GB Storage variant.

The Redmi Note 5 on the other hand, is powered by a 4,000mAh battery but runs on an old Snapdragon 625 SoC. This handset is also expected to have two RAM and Storage variants 64GB internal storage + 4GB RAM and 3GB RAM + 32 GB internal storage variants.

As with most of Xiaomi Smartphones, the Redmi Note 5 and 5 Pro will have a fingerprint sensor at the back. As for the operating system, both the devices will run on Android Nougat based MIUI 9.5 (Xiaomi’s Custom Flavor Of Android). They are expected to come with the good old Micro-USB and no support for fast charging.

As far as cameras go, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is no slouch, with Dual Rear Cameras with 12-Mega Pixel and  5-Mega Pixel, similar to that of the iPhone X with vertical placement. The primary sensor has f/2.2 aperture while the secondary sensor has f/2.0 aperture.  It has a 20-Mega Pixel camera on the front for selfie lovers, it has a selfie light, a Sony IMX376 sensor and beautify 4.0 feature.

The Redmi Note 5 sports a 12-Mega Pixel Rear Camera with a 5-Mega Pixel front shooter.

The Mi TV 4, launching tomorrow will be a Flipkart Exclusive meaning that it can only be purchased via the Flipkart website. Flipkart also has a banner about the product on its main page. According to the banner, the Mi TV 4 will have a 4.9mm body.

It was launched at CES 2017 with three screen sizes: 49-inches, 55-inches, and the top model with 65-inches. We still do not know that which sizes will be available for the Indian Market. It is expected to be running a new Intelligent OS and a fast processor.

It is not a regular Android TV but runs on Xiaomi’s very own PatchOS, which has AI features. The Mi TV 4 also has support for 4K HDR content. As for the pricing, we do not have any official word, but the Mi TV 4 was launched at the following prices in China: 49-inch – Rs. 35,500 (Yuan 3,499), 55-inch – Rs.40,000 (Yuan 3,999) and 65-inch – Rs. 1,01,599 (Yuan 9,999)

The Flipkart banner talks about the Mi TV being friendly to the pocket, so we are expecting Xiaomi to launch the cheapest version of the Mi TV 4 i.e 49-inches.
