Motorola, a Lenovo owned company launched a new budget smartphone on Monday. The Moto 1s is a budget smartphone similar to Moto G6 but with a fresh naming scheme and minor changes launched exclusively in China.
Moto 1s Details And Specifications
Recently when Motorola announced the availability of the Moto G6 which was announced in April, China was skipped from the list and instead, Moto 1s is what we’ll see in China.
At a straight look at specs sheet and looks the smartphone might look similar to the Moto G6.
However, the Moto 1s is not completely similar to the Moto G6, the G6 has stock Android running within and the Moto 1s has Lenovo’s ZUI 3.5 skin.
Now let’s take a look at the specifications of the smartphone:
the Moto 1s comes with a 5.7-inch(1080×2160 pixels) full-HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio screen.
The smartphone has a fingerprint scanner on the front of the display and above it, there is a Motorola branding.
Talking about the hardware, the smartphone is powered by the 1.8Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM.
The smartphone is equipped with a 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable via MicroSD card up to 128 GB.
The smartphone comes only in 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage, no higher variant available.
Moving to the camera, the Moto 1s sports a Dual-Camera Setup at the back with one lens being a 12-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and another lens being a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone also has a Dual LED flash on the back.
The camera includes many different features such as black-and-white mode, background blur mode, spot colour mode, background replacement mode and time-lapse video mode. On the front, the smartphone has a 16-megapixel camera with an aperture of f/2.0.

The Moto 1s runs on Android Oreo 8.0 with Lenovo’s ZUI 3.5 skin on top of it. The smartphone is backed up by a 3,000 mAh battery and has a Dual-SIM (Nano SIM) slot as well.
The smartphone comes with a 4G LTE support, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and the phone don’t miss out on any basic sensors it includes a gyroscope, proximity sensor, digital compass, accelerometer and ambient light sensor as well.
Pricing And Availability
Moto 1s was announced via microblogging site Weibo and is available in China only for a price of CNY 1,499(roughly Rs.15,900).
This device is available in two colour variants which are Vitoria Blue and Charlotte Powder. Talking about the availability, the smartphone is already available in China and can be purchased via Motorola store as well as Lenovo’s online shop.
However, it is not confirmed whether the smartphone will come here in Inda as well as it’s pricing and availability has not been confirmed.
