The bezel-less cavalry is here and it is here to stay. With giant tech companies including Samsung, Apple and OnePlus releasing its own flagship devices without bezels and of course with the notch. Meizu has joined the bezel-less club, better late than never. Meizu is heavily dependent on its physical mBack button which is implemented on Meizu’s each and every phone. Also, the company’s CEO Jack Wong stated that the mBack Is here to stay.

Is mBack Technology Revolutionary?

The mBack button is a very useful addition to the era of smartphones. The mBack acted as a home button also as a fingerprint scanner and navigation via various gestures which made the Meizu device unique in its own way.

Also, Meizu devices run on Flyme UI based on Android and the software was well updated in order for it to implement the mBack tech.

Since the bezel-less devices do not have any space for the physical home button or the fingerprint scanner and hence many companies have opted on shifting the scanner to the rear of the device below the camera setup, but theoretically, it is not possible with the mBack button.

Although, we can expect some innovation in the mBack button.

Meizu 16 And Its Release Date:

According to the earlier reports, the Meizu 16 will be implying the copper heat pipes. The new line up will be officially launched in late August.

The upper midrange device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 and the second variant will be powered by Snapdragon 845 at a frequency of 2.8GHz.

According to the company, the bezels of the upcoming Meizu 16 will be narrow and it is possible for it to be narrower than the Samsung Galaxy S9 series and is most likely to come with the in-display fingerprint sensor.

Cameras And Battery Life:

As far as the camera is concerned, the device will sport a dual camera setup at the rear and follows a different aesthetic than the Redmi Note 5 Pro, Asus Max M1 and the iPhone X.

According to rumours, the device will have a 12+20MP sensor at the rear and no news about the front camera.

The Meizu 16 might come with a 3,080 mAh battery life with 24W charging (8V/3A). Meizu 16 Plus smartphone is expected to house a bigger battery about 3,600 mAh capacity along with faster charging of 32W but it can also said to come with 10W wireless charging.
