Companies like Razer, Xiaomi, and Asus are dominating the mobile gaming market with their top-notch gaming smartphones. Recent rumours suggest that the South Korean smartphone maker is developing their own Samsung Gaming Smartphone to tackle their rivals.

We have seen Xperia Play from Sony way back in 2011 which was one of the first gaming smartphone, recently we saw the Razer Phone from the gaming company R Λ Z Ξ R, ROG (Republic of Gamers) Phone from Asus and the Black Shark from Xiaomi.

The Twitter user @MMDDJ claims that Samsung is developing an Android smartphone designed for gaming, this tweet also follows by another tweet claiming Samsung developing a 7-inch foldable smartphone apart from this the twitter user doesn’t reveal much about the hardware specifications.

Samsung Gaming Smartphone To Use IPS LCD Display

While the Razer Phone has the Higher refresh rate of 120Hz especially for gaming, Samsung might also be using the same IPS LCD display as the Razer phone instead of their AMOLED display technology to achieve such High Refresh rate.

AMOLED screen supports 90Hz refresh rate and making it support 120Hz will hike the phone price very high also it will consume much more battery than the IPS LCD screen while gaming.

This might also be a tough decision for Samsung for switching to an inferior display technology.

Galaxy S9, the top of the line smartphone from Samsung is already capable of running every game flawlessly in the play store right now, the phone runs on a Company’s own Exynos Processor but for the upcoming gaming phone Samsung might use an Overclocked version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 Chipset just like the ROG phone from Asus.
